Friday 16 March 2012: All The Fun Of The Fair...
They've been holding a funfair at Merrion Square as part of the St. Patrick's Day festivities for at least a decade now. A nice touch - letting the teetotal and abstemious join in the traditional pukefest!
As Kent Brockman put it, "All this drinking, violence, destruction of property. Are these the things we think of when we think of the Irish?"
And quite appropriate to site the funfair outside the clown college that serves us as a parliament!
