Friday 16 March 2012: Poor Swallow-half-tail...
I've never seen a swallowtail before and it was only when I studied the detail on the camera that I realised he'd lost half his beautiful tail...fortunately he seemed to be flying around quite normally. I tried following him around but the rockrose plants covering the hillside were virtually waist high and it was a struggle to get through. Anyway he flew back in my direction and I was really excited to get several shots...
