Saturday 17 March 2012: Beloved Island

Many years ago, almost 36 to be exact, on the occasion of my departure with my family to live in Australia, my sister-in-law and her simply amazing butler gave me this copy of an ancient Gaelic poem.
It has held pride of place on my bookshelf ever since, and it is the reason why I am often reduced to tears of emotion when Mo posts her glorious blips of the Isle of Arran.
