Turkey Vulture

As we packed up our household to move we noticed three adult turkey vultures circling our house.

I contemplated how auspicious this avian sign must be and wondered just what the appearance of these big birds augured for our future ;-)

A knowledgeable friend explained that the turkey vultures return with change to the spring season.

Very auspicious indeed as we look forward to planting our garden in Eugene.
