Monday 1 September 2008: Photographic cliché is good
Yes, I know it's a cliché. But there's a reason why photographic clichés become clichés - because people like them. (Me especially it seems)
There's been a lot of harvesting going on for the weekend - Friday and Saturday were the first two dry days we've had in a row for at least a month. The ears of wheat and barley may have been dry on top, but the fields are sodden underneath, and there's going to be a lot of mouldy straw around this winter.
Took advantage of this mornings sunshine to take the dogs on a proper walk up the hill - this is about 15 minutes of effort up the track from the village. Did our old 2.5 mile loop, and just as I came back into the village it clouded over again, and it is now peeing down once more.
