Ticking Away the Moments

Twickenham

Well, it had to be really...

We had tickets to the England v Ireland St Patrick's Day game yesterday - bit of a logistical nightmare due to work commitments for both of us but eventually we managed to meet up near Twickenham station for the fun to begin.

As expected, lots of Irish people had made the trip so the town was a sea of green and white. Great atmosphere as always, so the rain didn't spoil things.

This is the view from most of the way up the South stand spiral walkway up to our seats. The stadium ended up at full capacity, I think they said 81,600 people altogether! No wonder the bars were all so packed.

Ended up as a fantastic win by England, we're very happy at the progress made by this new team in a short period of time, much better Six Nations campaign than we feared it might be! So a bit more celebrating was in order before wandering back to Twickenham town centre then getting the bus back to the Indian restaurant across the road from our hotel - perfect day!
