A vintage wedding car

My attempt to give a vintage look to a vintage car meant hours playing with Paint.Net, trying to work out how to (sort of) get the result I wanted. The original shiny technicolur version of the image is here.

I'm not sure what type of car it is as I forgot to look (and it was raining). Jeremy Clarkson would not be impressed. I think it's something like a 1940's Cadillac or Buick sedan.
