Life of Aidan.. and Niamh

Sunday 18 March 2012: Mothers

Stewart took Aidan to the park and he got some practice riding his bike. He played with some other children there and he ran around watching the older ones playing football (Aidan that is!).
I made dinner for my Mum and Dad today - roast beef with all the trimmings. I think everyone enjoyed it, although the vegetables were a wee bit hard :-S.
Aidan played outside with the wee boy next door. The wee boy next door is a couple of years older than Aidan, so I don't think he was as keen as Aidan to play, but I was pleased with my boy for having the confidence to demand he play with him. There will be tough social lessons to learn later on, but he is oblivious just now. Ignorance is bliss.
Niamh is away to stay with my mum and dad tonight to allow me to help on the nursery trip tomorrow (no younger siblings allowed). I've not been without her for so long, so it will be a bit strange without her tomorrow. On the other hand, it will be nice for Aidan to have a wee bit of 'special' time with just me.
I am usually exhausted, my patience is at zilch and I have numerous wrinkles and huge dark cirlcles under my eyes, but overall I do love being a mum to Niamh and Aidan. They are my everything.
