Sunday 18 March 2012: Cooking for Mother
A major Mother's Day coup by the Jnrs (and crappy weather) led us to the cinema this morning. My first visit in well over a year.....The Muppets. I used to love them in the 70's as a kid. The love hasn't aged well.
We treated Mrs H to a cooked meal this evening and I wanted the girls to do as much as possible. Jnr Jnr did enjoy de-seeding the tomatoes (I showed her the fun way!) and Jnr Snr was proud with her first 'go' on the hob. Mr Oliver would have been proud of the expert basil tearing too.
No spillages, no cut fingers, no burns and one spaghetti bolognese later and we're all happy.
Monday Eve....bah!
