Sunday 18 March 2012: Sweet especial rural scene

Part of a poem by Gerard Manley Hopkins called Binsey Poplars, the last four lines:

Strokes of havoc unselve
The sweet especial scene,
Rural scene, a rural scene,
Sweet especial rural scene.

So typically English - as is this scene. The daffodils who come up year after year on the bank at the very end of the garden - magical, yet short lived - so on a lovely sunny day such as this, to sit amongst them & take their photo, is heaven with a capital H!

Great day spent with my mum as it's Mother's Day here in the UK. So this blip is also dedicated to my mum, as, she loves daffodils so much xxx
