Beach Walk!
A totally spectacular day....warm sunny and some blue skies!
There was a great gathering of folks from the Baddeck Farmers market in town today....Seedy Sunday!!! Lots of great advise and chatting about soil, seeding, what not to try and grow etc, from 2 very well seasoned and rounded farmers - both women, from the area. It was very enjoyable. And i bought some new seeds and got a look at some very lovely books.....have to head over to Amazon soon!!
then Terry and I headed down to Englishtown beach. It was awesome....quiet (of course!!), windy but invigorating!
Terry picked up a sand dollar and gave it to me....i was so excited, in all my times of walking beaches, and i've done my fair share....i have never ever found a silver dollar! Then a few minutes later i spotted one, picked it up and gave it to him! Then i saw another...and another....until eventually we found 17 in total! I was feeling very gready and wanted to keep them all....but Terry appealed to my more generous side.....and we left 5 on the beach! i now have 12 silver dollars....all so different and so beautiful. I had the idea to put a few on some seaweed to make a blip...pretty soon we had all of them on there, i was on my belly....not an easy thing on such a stoney beach.....and had a blast!
home now, about to start dinner....garlic shrimp, pesto pasta and wine!
A very wonderful sunday has been had here!
