A budding conker

We have had blue sky and sunshine today, although still a bit chilly in the wind. Had a little mooch about the garden this afternoon and saw how the Horse Chestnut tree is now coming into bloom. It looked really pretty against the bright blue sky.

The Horse Chestnuts have suffered from increased pest & disease problems over recent years. We have noticed that the leaves on our tree have suffered, leaving them brown and curling. It is such a shame as they are such beautiful trees.
