On short notice, I had to travel to San Diego today for a brief meeting and a dinner. The day was frantic and frenetic and I had to remind myself to take in the wonderful air. Finally, the meetings ended and the golden hour was upon me. I had thirty minutes to kill, so I grabbed the Nikon and went for a brief stroll along the harbor before dinner.
The wind was calm and the light was rich to the eye. I walked the docks and embraced my love for the water.
This blip, as simple as it is, appropriately framed my state of mind. The boats were at rest in their element and, in that moment, so was I.
