In the past most of the universities in Nanchang were in the city centre but about a decade ago many of them began to construct new campuses outside the city centre where land was much cheaper, allowing them to have much larger campuses, more teaching buildings, sports stadiums, landscaped gardens, ornamental lakes etc and to be able to cope with the massive rise in the number of students attending university. This campus is one of the nicest in Nanchang. This pair of golden dragons are huge and can't be missed.
