Wednesday 21 March 2012: Sun on Daintree Rainforest!
On our last day in Port Douglas we were lucky enough, after all the storms, wind and rain, to have beautiful conditions for our trip to the Great Barrier Reef. It was the first time we'd tried snorkelling and we're both smitten: such a variety of colourful fish and coral! Wasn't confident enough to handle an underwater camera and a snorkel, I've overruled Tess's choice of a photo of me in lycra on the grounds that some people might be put off their tea, and anyway, I liked the clouds and sea colours in this one!
Fantastic way to end our time in Australia - assuming the roads to Cairns are passable tomorrow! Barring any more heavy overnight rain we should be OK and hopefully the next blip will be from Singapore.
