Wednesday 21 March 2012: Ladybird hagakure
I seem to have started a mini-series of shy ladybirds after my Head in the bark blip from a few weeks ago. Today's shy ladybird was hidden in a leaf. I was looking for some snappy title for it and stumbled over the Japanese word 'hagakure', which apparently means hidden in the leaves. I don't claim to speak Japanese (although I did learn a little during my first job when I was doing a lot of work editing translations of Japanese patent applications), and it's probably completely inappropriately used, but, hey ho, that's my chosen title for today.
Was a bit gutted that this one of a ladybird about to take off wasn't in focus but I'll gently hassle another ladybird until it flies off another time...
I also made a first attempt at image stacking today. I don't think it quite worked out but I'll try again with that too.
P.S. My name is Jemma and I am a macro addict.
