Wednesday 21 March 2012: Mystery Solved
The answer to yesterday's mystery #8:
Cover the bottom of a cast-iron skillet with cold water. Add two tablespoons of butter. When the butter melts, braise a chopped onion over medium heat. *Note that just before you add the onion there is the most amazing paisley lightshow of butter and water and bubbles.
Today's image is no mystery at all: the very first lilac!
