Dawn shimmers in reflected light
Battling the dark of receding night
Golden glow in the Eastern sky
Send embattled sleep's thoughts awry
Who can rest as such beauty does unfold
Laying out treasures, riches untold
Behind are left embattled fey dreams
Sorrow, resentment, nightmare screams
Wakeful smiles upon now laughing face
Rush forth to take their place
And rising now with gladdened heart
Go forth, their new day to start
