Saturday 17 March 2012: Clams Acorda by Allegra
I learned so much from cooking dinner tonight.
I've been reading Allegra McKevedy's 'Bought, Borrowed and Stolen. Recipes and Knives from a Travelling Chef' which has recipes I've been really keen to try. I also had a bag of vacuum packed clams (I know, weird) in the fridge that I had to use.
This is a Portuguese recipe which included dried bread, an egg, coriander, white wine, garlic, tomatoes (home grown here at No 56) and the dreaded vacuum packed clams. It was so good!
Unfortunately I have to return the book to the library soon (I've renewed it already so no more chances left) which is very sad.
