The River Wey Navigation Canal

There seem to be a lot of canal type shots at present so here is my poor effort.

This is the Wey Navigation Canal in Guildford Surrey.

I epitomises the canal network in the UK as the bridges carry the vaste A3 traffic into and out of London. It is a ridiculously busy congested and noisy place and yet....

20 foot below is this serene, quiet and beautiful place. It has a feel of being slightly run down but that is the beauty of most of the canals as it encourages wildlife.

I was going to try something more adventurous from under the bridge but there were millions of pigeons with the associated risk and danger!
