Thursday 22 March 2012: Can't think of a title...
755/365: ... or does that count as a title now I've written it in the title box?! Who knows!
Oh, while I remember... and this is utterly trivial but will satisfy me when I come back to think of this and go 'what was that track'... on the way home 'Boys Keep Swinging' by David Bowie was playing on the radio and it totally bugged me because it reminded me of a song by Blur and I couldn't think which one. Well, I just worked out it was M.O.R. and now my little head is satisfied. *happy*
There must be a word for that. You know, when you know you know something but you can't think of what it must be. I bet if we were Scandinavian we'd have a gloriously long word for just that thing. It would be a 'somesinkoderudertingyzatidefinitsklynobutkantsinkov'. Well, the above was one of those. There should also be a word for that moment that you realise what the thing was that was on the tip of your tongue! The English language sure needs a lot of work...
In fact, this reminds me (today is going to be a rambly one, I just know it) of something I was talking about with a friend of mine the other day. Place names that work as 'words that need a purpose'. We'd just gone through Kettering on the train, and we decided that 'kettering' was the noise a dog's claws make when it runs across a slippery hard kitchen floor. There have to be others, but my brain is empty and I can't think of them!
You may guess that because I'm writing nonsense, I'm over-tired and run out of sensible stuff. I'm still coughing up a lung and am kinda pooped because of that. Plus, my day was stupidly busy. Again. At least tomorrow is my 'working from home day' (there should be a word for that too!), and I get to catch up with all the writing etc that I've got to get sorted. AND NO COMMUTE!!! YES!
PS Maddy was under the weather today
PPS Felix decided to make towers with playing cards
PPPS Grumpy Maddy decided *she* wanted the cards and knocked down his card tower
PPPPS Now they're both grumpy. Oh joy.
