In-Betweenies
The Tropicalia musical movement bridged Bossa Nova and MPB (Musica Popular Brasiliera), and took the world by storm. The main photo in this shot was taken in London, I believe, in 1967 when Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil, the foremost members of the movement, were in exile due to the military dictatorship (top row, second and third from the left, respectively). They returned safely and are now iconic figures in BPL (Brazilian Popular Life)!
