Painted trucks - Kerala style

Every two years the trucks here have to be tested and repainted. Intricately painted trucks take about a week to complete. Symbols indicate which religion you belong to, but after that it seems that the craftsmen can let their imaginations roam. Here one is painting the minute details on a pair of parrots. Two or three men were painting whilst mechanical repairs went on at the same time!
