Friday 23 March 2012: Ladybird Day

756/365: ... is there such a thing? There sure were a lot of them out today when I wandered around the garden at lunch time. Perhaps it was? Maybe they knew something I didn't? Right. It *was* Ladybird Day. I've just made it official.

Happy Ladybird Day!

Oh no. Another day writing rubbish. There just isn't a lot to say on working days. I started work at 8. Wrote a load of stuff. Answered emails. Wrote more stuff. Y'know. Work.

Ah, but the best bit of working from home - other than the commute which takes me mere seconds - is that I get to drink a cup of tea in the garden from time to time. And had time after brekkie to make a couple of loaves. Working with the smell of bread baking in the background is beautifully cosy! The other thing working from home allows me to do is to pick up the kids from school. So, I walked to the school in the sunshine and then picked them up... plus one of their friends. After an amazingly grump-free walk up the hill, watching them all giggling and squealing as they boinged down the slope in the park on the other side was one of those full-on-face-smile-moments.

Mmmmm. Spring is sooooo lovely!

Can't be that long until bed time though. I'm pooped. I made a veg thali for dinner - tarka dal, matar paneer and a mixed veg korma etc - and it's made me all sleepy! At least it's quiet. The children are up but making jigsaws on the rug and... *whispers*... not rowing or being annoying or anything!!

PS But I'm still coughing my head off
PPS It's driving me crackers
PPPS Why don't colds and bugs take the weekend off, hmmmm?
