Saturday 24 March 2012: Come Back Spring!
Barn and I braved the crowds to climb Ingleborough today. If you look closely, through the haze, you can see Whernside in the distance. Normally you can see right to the fells in the Lakes. I descended on a secret route that was much quieter and suited my kind of walk. No people, just sheep. It was too hot though. My t-shirt was wet and Barney was struggling to keep up. I'm not happy with my newly formed freckles either!
Back in Clapham I saw my leader from an Outward Bound Course I went on seven years ago. It was the best thing I have ever done and I have him to thank for much of what I do now. So thanks Simon!
