Saturday 24 March 2012: Saturday in Cyprus
Another delightful day in Cyprus. We saw archaeological sites around Paphos today including the Tomb of the Kings and the monastery and church of St Neophytus.
Plants and birds came thick and fast this afternoon. On the sandy area by the tombs we saw a number of tiny, delicate and beautiful plants. This is paronychia argentea which is very very small but when you get close you can see the intricate structure of the flowers. For those who wonder about the name, this is one of a number of nailworts.
The clocks go forward here tonight, so I must have an early night. The best time to be out and about is before breakfast.
