Saturday 24 March 2012: Toulouse blipmeet
La Place du Capitole, the central square in Toulouse, is never quiet - every weekend and many weekdays there is some event going on in the huge open space between the brick facades of la ville rose, as well as a Saturday market. Twenty-four hours a day there are people sitting in cafes, driving around the place or walking across it - I've had this confirmed by my daughter who spent a year as a student at the university here, inevitably seeing the place at all hours of the day and night. Today there was the added excitement of a blipmeet!
From right to left here, Veronica, Cathy, Tickytocky, SooB and I met for coffee in the place, where Lo Jardinièr took this photo of us all. We then went on to the place St-Georges for lunch, chatting all the time. It was wonderful to put faces to the journals and to get to know each other and I'm looking forward now to the next one....maybe in Narbonne?
I've put a few more photos of Toulouse here
