Five go to Edinburgh - On a train

Early start this morning. 8:50 train from Perth to Edinburgh, and on it were 5 noisy and excited boys celebrating Cameron's 7th birthday (which is tomorrow). I wasn't on my own with them(!) husband and daughter came too! Noise levels in the carriage were pretty high, singing and the usual boy chat . . The day started off with them running on the platforms, down the stairs at the station, just running, running and more running! Do boys actually walk anywhere? Even the hundreds of steps of Fleshmaker's Close in Edinburgh were no deterrant, they had to race up them too.

We were at the National Museum just after opening time, which was great as it was pretty quiet then, loads of wide open spaces for running in there too. It's fantastic - lots of interaction stuff, too much to mention, but loads to keep the boys amused.

Lunchtime headed to a nearby Pizza Express, where they ate three courses plus a bambinocino, then, after loads of fun in there, back to the museum for another couple of hours before the train back to Perth at 4.30.

They were still pretty hyper, but all great fun for a wee boy's 7th birthday. I have to bake a cake tonight, but just found out I have no SR flour, mmm, should I wait till tomorrow morning? No pressure!!
