Sunday 25 March 2012: The First Day of Summer.....

.....and it looks like David has chosen where he'll be spending it! Oi Mr! Move yersel!! That's MY Gin Palace! :p

Total confusion this morning with the clocks going forward. I'd set the alarm on my phone but didn't know if the phone would update the time automatically or if I had to do it, so then the alarm went off I didn't know if it was 8 or 9 am! Sadly it was the latter!

Up and organised then Marion arrived to spend the day with Alan. Since it was such glorious weather (19 degrees and sunny!!! It was snowing this time last year!!!) They decided to go an a day trip to Ayr. On the train!!! What a star Marion is. She is game for anything if she thinks Alan would enjoy it! So they headed off to the train station and we headed off to the house.

Determined to get some bird shots I had taken some birdfeed with me to lure my little feathered friends . Loaded the bird table, got the camera set up and sat and waited....and waited.....and waited.......till I accepted I'd been stood up and gave up! Don't think I'm cut out to be a wildlife photographer....no patience!

Back down the road in time for Alan getting in from Ayr at 6.30. He had a ball and is knackered. Early night for him methinks!

Oooo.... think I just heard a wine cork pop so better get the dinner on.....steak, chips and beetroot & feta salad....yummmmmmm!

Monday again tomorrow but only working Monday, Tuesday and half day Friday then off for two weeks! :-))

Hope you're enjoying what's left of the weekend Blip Pals :-) xx
