Birthday surprises

Double figures, eh? Doesn't time fly?

Hardly seems any time at all and our little one is getting to be all grown up.

He's managing to get the paper off the presents at some speed, at least.

It was a glorious sunny day, but after all the excitement of the party yesterday and the loss of an hour, we spent the day being quite quiet aside from the bits where 'Mum's Taxi' was required for the elder one.

Favourite bit of the day: hearing squeals from the dining room and coming rushing through to find out what was wrong only to hear him exclaim, "Mum, look - it's the periodic table!" Think the Dorling Kindersley encyclopedia of science I bought was a popular choice.

His favourite present though was a golf glove, with built in magnetic ball marker. It doubles as a Michael Jackson 'white glove' which seems also to be a source of some pride. No cheeky comments about this please, he's too young to know.
