Monday 26 March 2012: Inside "The Rock" Wellington Airport
The Rock is the new international terminal in Wellington Airport, and this week is open for the first time for the public to have a look.
My flight was delayed so I had time to go and look around. First thing that struck me is that it's very small for the huge fuss it's generated.
The design has been the centre of a huge controversy, goodness knows why, how many boring airports are there in the world and why would we need another one? I think it's different, it creates comment, it's not boring, it seems reasonably functional, such as these things ever are, so what more can you ask for?
