Friday 23 March 2012: Osprey
(2nd day camping at Lake Kissimmee) out on the boat with the dogs
We like to stop at a field at the mouth of Tiger Creek to let the dogs run a little (we keep them away from the water, in case of alligators). There's a nesting pole for Osprey, and it seems to get used every year we've been going there. The way this adult stayed on the nest when it saw us, and started calling as we walked around, we figured there must be eggs or young. It got more upset, even though I was keeping my distance, and took off and flew a couple circles over me and then returned to the nest (in this shot).
