Hamed

This is Hamed.

He is 87 years old and works on the ferry boat, sweeping the decks, and securing the boat when it arrives at the East or West Bank of the River Nile.

Hamed has worked on the Nile for 60 years!

he starts his day at 6am and finishes at 3pm. So if the ferryboat crosses 4 times every hour, that is 36 times a day, 252 times a week, 1008 times a month and 12,096 times a year! (Providing he hasn't had a sick day)

12,096 x 60 years is an incredible 725,760 times in his working life! Surely he must be a contender for the Guinness Book of World Records!
