Thursday 22 March 2012: Samui airport
Koh Samui airport is the cutest airport I have ever been to! This is Mark relaxing on a deck chair at Gate 2. Instead of transporting us to the aircraft on an overly air-conditioned standing-room-only bus, we were transported on the kind of tram that you would get at the zoo! Our propeller plane had pretty fish and flowers painted all over it, and I found the whole experience incredible charming... until we came in to descend in Hong Kong and the plane suddenly took a bit of a plummet, I think my heart skipped several beats, but thankfully we landed safely.
