Monday 26 March 2012: It's a Beautiful Day
So beautiful that Aidan, Niamh and I all had our lunch outside in the garden before Aidan went to nursery. I got a washing out for the first time the year. And... Aidan went to nursery without his jacket today. Woo hoo!
After dropping Aidan at nursery, Niamh and I went to pick up my mum. Instead of heading back to our house as usual, we went to Castle Semple, Lochwinnoch. Loads of people had the same idea and lots of "auld yins" had brought their deck chairs and set up camp. Lovely.
We had an ice cream outside the cafe and them walked round for a bit before going to feed the swans. Niamh was not impressed she didn't get an ice cream and looked at me blankly when I handed her a rice cake. Well, at least it was apple flavour!
After picking Aidan up from nursery, we returned home where Aidan played out in the gardens with our neighbours' children. He played until it was tea time. And then he ate his dinner so fast so he could go back out to play. And then he ended up weeing his pants because he was so busy playing - he just couldn't interrupt the playing to go to the toilet. (In his defence, he did try to get there in time, but he was having some trouble with his button!)
Niamh is saying a very clear "papa" which is nice, but it really should be "mum" so I'm not all that impressed.
We had our first decent wake up time this morning as she slept until 7am. I think it might have something to do with the clocks going forward (here's hoping).
Oh, and in other news, my request to reduce my days to 3 have been accepted. I am going to be a part timer..
