Kinda Horrigans

Wednesday 28 March 2012: I bet his eyes will be closed in that shot...

761/365: ... said Nick. But those peepers are definitely open. And Fizzy's hands could be no more outstretched if they tried. He takes frisbee VERY seriously does competitive boy. Maddy, on the other hand, was able to have the frisbee whizz past her head, hit her in the head and thwack her on the toes. Co-ordinated she isn't. And grumpy, she was. The 'trauma' of the play she's in at school caused a complete meltdown earlier - she's worn herself out with the effort of taking part - but it is pushing her boundaries so that's a good thing.

I think I did pretty well to crank out a shot today. I dragged myself into work after an atrocious night's sleep - my chest is exploring new ways to be painful, my cough is like a choir of smokers in full phlegm and to top it all off, my throat has decided to become sore. But, I had a workshop I wanted to attend and a meeting I needed to have. However, by a quarter to three, I was running a temperature and absolutely spent so cancelled my last meeting and came home. Definitely a sensible decision!

You know how some illnesses just get zero sympathy? I seem to have a collection of those! The irritating cough which punctuates every other breath. Wheezing. Migraines which are invisible to everyone else but the sufferer. I am like a broken record of grizzle! I could do with a break but it hasn't been that long since the last bit of time off so I really don't know what's up with me!

Oh, nearly forgot the garden update (which I know is exciting only to me... but here goes...)! My broad beans I sowed the other week have gone crazy in the last two days - popping up about 2 inches from nothing at the weekend. Some of my onions are starting to pop through the soil, the rhubarb I moved looks happier than a happy thing... and my asparagus is emerging. YAY!!!!!! Gardening is a little piece of pure lovely.

PS Right... bed.
PPS If you hear a hacking cough, it's probably me.
PPPS Sorry. :o)
