Thursday 29 March 2012: Whaingaroa Harbour (also known as Raglan Harbour)
Holiday is over and this was my last walk around the harbour with Jan, its been a wonderful holiday and this mornings sunrise just capped it off.
In the left hand corner you can just make out a guy on a paddle board he crosses the harbour to go to work. Its quite a long drive around the inlet to get to Raglan crossing this way from his home is the quickest route.
Raglan is associated with Whaingaroa Harbour (also known as Raglan Harbour) on the west coast of the Waikato region in New Zealand's North Island. The harbour runs 12 km inland from the entrance, for the most part is less than 2 km wide, and is the northernmost of three large inlets in the Waikato coast.
