Thursday 29 March 2012: Blackthorn

The flowering of the Blackthorn is another of natural wonders of spring, and we have a nice patch in our nature reserve on campus. Like most ancient flora, Blackthorn has an interesting lore, playing a key part in fairy tales like Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel.
