Friday 30 March 2012: a well oiled machine?

Or not as the case maybe.... Its a good job we're moving house as our shed is very damp and my poor bike was in a sorry state when I got her out last night. mould on the tyres and chain! weird.

Anyway a few bits of tlc and she was right as rain. We made the journey in 1hr39mins which is good although I still need to sort out my saddle, gets very sore around Otley and then I lose the feeling in my toes (possibly not the best thing)

I was running a session this more that I was woefully under prepared for (its been one of the those weeks) but it was for careers advisers and they are possibly the nicest people you can meet on a university campus. Odeyrandom did a brilliant stint on postdoc funding and all was good.

It was also Odey's cake Friday today, she made Banana and Bacon cookies from a Heston bloomin'heck recipe. Pretty darn good they were too. never been much of a Heston fan (probably cos of his silly glasses) but I might have a shufty through some of his recipe books to see if I can find one recipe that doesn't involve dry ice and bunch of elves or something.

Right must go bath these boys, they're getting v fractious and Bob has just informed me that Ali has bitten him!!

Payday curry night tonight whoop whoop! Also survey been done on our house, seemingly nothing too scary to report, also we have now got mortgage in place, triple whoop. Although yours truly obviously didn't do her job well enough with the solicitor as his quote has doubled from what he told me before (boo).

Finally I have been informed that pain from yesterday's procedure has reduced somewhat. My mother tells me my father had a similar procedure done many moons ago and had to do a planning appeal the next day with his knees clenched (never did him any harm was the subtext!)
