Coolum Beach

As we had a relatively short drive today from Noosa Heads to Brisbane, we took our time and maintained a leisurely approach. That meant having a relaxed al fresco breakfast at the apartment in Noosa, checking out at the last minute before wandering down the Sunshine Coast (well named) and stopping off for a walk or a coffee when we felt like it.

Todays blip is of the path leading down to the beach at Coolum. Australians love their beaches and with it being Saturday they were busy with people of all ages. Some were surfing, others swimming or playing ball while many, like us, simply walked along the water's edge and chilled out. In the warm sunshine and onshore breeze it was absolutely wonderful.

We arrived in Brisbane in late afternoon and checked into our accommodation in the city centre. Had a lovely walk along the riverfront and dinner in the South Bank, before heading back for an early night. The more serious exploration of the city can wait until tomorrow!
