Saturday 31 March 2012: Easter Sand Sculpture
It's fast approaching Easter, a very important week in the Spanish calendar, and the sand sculptors on the beaches are going along with the theme. These artists can do incredible things with sand right down to the finest details. On this work every muscle sinew appears to be where it should be and just look at the detail on the ribcage. It amazes me how many passers-by stand and take pictures beside these sculptures then walk away without donating a penny to the artists who are sitting there in attendance.
