Saturday 31 March 2012: Flower power!
The lovely spring weather has gone & it was time to put on a jumper & coat as we went out this morning. The rest of the day has been spent indoors where I have been pottering about, varnishing some more beads and starting to put a few things together for when we go away later in the week.....trying to be organised!
This picture is of the periwinkle flower. We have a lot of this growing in the garden. It is very pretty & I love the delicate colour but it does seem to take over and is starting to swamp some of the other plants.
And being a chemo nurse I couldn't blip the periwinkle without saying that it is the source of one of the most commonly used chemotherapy drugs. The amazing power of plants.
