Saturday 31 March 2012: The dawn of a new day
What is it that Kermit the Frog says about being green? Green is making me very happy today. A few years ago our community decided to discontinue curbside pickup of the recycling containers. From that time forward, we would have to load our recycling items into the car and drive them down to the recycling collection center.
But hallelujah, they have reversed their decision. Curbside pickup will begin again this week. No more driving to the collection center. No more wasting gas. No more bottles, boxes, and plastic jugs sitting around the kitchen until we get around to taking a trip to the recycling center. A new day has begun, and I couldn't be happier to be green!
