Saturday 31 March 2012: Five go Bread-making
Five of us went on a bread baking course today!
I planned it way back, at the end of last year, & today we headed over to Fife to learn how to bake bread properly.
It was a really fun day. We learned lots, ate lots and baked lots; wholemeal loaf, oatcakes, challah and rolls using a variety of flours & additional flavours. We were introduced to Staffordshire oatcakes for lunch, which were devine!
Big thank-you to Colin at Bread in Fife, who managed to teach us loads despite the constant giggling and sillyness, and thanks to the other fledgeling bakers for joining me
