Thursday 29 March 2012: Sea Groynes

More back-blips!

A day at the beach up past Allonby. It was low tide when we arrived on spring tides, so a vast expanse of beach. Some great sand patterns to be had.

After heading up to Silloth for fish and chips (I don't think we found the good chippy), we stopped of at a great tea room just behind Beckfoot called The Gincase. Best blueberry cheesecake I think I've ever had, and definitely worth a return visit.

Lunched up, we went to take photos of the groynes just south of Beckfoot. Long exposures with the Lee Big Stopper. If you look carefully you can see the Scottish mountains rising up in the background.
