Sunday 1 April 2012: Hair tribes

Today at Glasgow Central there were many different hair societies on display (see here for hair groupings).

You can see that the sexy hair gang walking past, nearest to the camera, may be mocking the vibrant punky hair tribe on the far right. That's because they belong to the 'ideal' hair gang in our society and are therefore in a position to mock. There's also the straight hair sub-culture on the far left looking a bit miffed that their hair isn't quite big enough to attract the same attention. Some, like the lady in the wheelchair and the man on the seating near her, turn their back on this nonsense and create their own individual hair style. I'll look into hair-based tribal phenomena further, rest assured.

This is Shona who belongs to a funky punky pink hair tribe. She communicated in whisper; the softest sweetest scottish accent I've ever heard.

Please note: I've had a name change from Ros Obs/ naive observer as I want to stop linking my journal to facebook. I'm finding it rather limiting on the blogging side as obviously a journal, for me, can touch on the very personal at times...
