Kathryn Moore

"Kathryn Moore has published extensively on design quality, theory, education and practice. Her book "Overlooking the Visual: Demystifying the art of design" (2010) lifts the philosophical veil obscuring critical, artistic discourse. Crossing boundaries between philosophy, theory and practice it is an interdisciplinary analysis of consciousness and the creative process that is of considerable interest to those concerned with design quality in the built environment and to those striving to meet current global environmental challenges." (from her LinkedIn page)

Meet the rock star of my sub-club, Kathryn Moore. The big club to which I belong is the club of design educators. The sub-club is that of design educators who seriously geek out on the art and science of teaching. Kathryn delivered one of the keynote addresses at the conference and her talk was truly inspiring. I bought a copy of her book, and I can't wait to sink my teeth into it.
