An afternoon's achievement - that being, the assembly of this bloomin' bike without the aid of instructions. Or some of the necessary tools...!

Somehow I managed it, with the requisite amount of bad language and persistence I tend to throw at obstacles.

So Shortie now is on to her third bike (I wish she'd slow up on this growing business) and it has the excitement of gears.

Thankfully, she's one happy girl! And her mum is frankly relieved.

I had planned to open a beer to celebrate but I'm too jiggered - I'm off to bed!
