In the pink
Loving how the garden and all the countryside is bursting with buds at the moment - all the new shoots just look fab - all fresh and vibrant with the landscape just on the brink of turning green.
We have quite a few acers in the garden and, along with the ferns, it's a bit of hopeful waiting game at this time of year keeping our fingers (and toes) crossed that they survived the winter well.
Thankfully this one has!
It's a gorgeous red when it's in full leaf - though the tiny wee leafs appearing now have got an incredible pink tinge to them and were saying "blip me, blip me" when I got back from our afternoon walk.
And how could I refuse!
