Head

backblip

M had a solo gig in Antwerp last night, a triumph, as usual, except the lighting was a bit funny; it made her face green!
More friends came to see her, and we stayed another night at Danny's. In the morning, while we ate a bit of breakfast, I was struck by the light on the screen and this personalised banjo head. It was one of Derroll Adams'. The concert on Thursday night was a tribute to him; lovely to do it in the city he had made his home for the last 30-or-so years of his life.

As a somewhat related aside, I noticed the discovery of a wooden stringed-instrument bridge in 2300 year old deposits in a cave on Skye, almost identical to a modern banjo bridge!

Later today, we went down to visit dear friends in Leuven...I hope Charlotte takes up blipping :)
